Biotorrents is a system for sharing biological data using the Bittorrent protocol. It was developed by Morgan Langille when he was a post-doc in the Eisen lab. More information about Biotorrents can be found below:

I’ve been trying to download the 40 genome E coli/Shigella alignment from biotorrents, but it seems to be down. Any idea what is going on? Is the data available anywhere else?
