Camera

• Nikon D500. This is my main camera right now. I got it largely because it has incredibly good auto focus which is very useful for bird in flight photography. I wrote a bit about the decisions behind the purchase here: https://phylogenomics.blogspot.com/2019/03/stalking-wild-garganey-in-west.html

• Nikon Coolpix 950. I use this for travel mostly. It is a really nice and light all in one camera.

Lenses

• Nikkor 200-500 Zoom. This was the lens I originally used with the Nikon D500. I have not upgraded to the 500 mm one below.

• Nikkor 500 mm f 5.6.

• Nikkor 105 mm f 2.8
