PhylOTU identifies microbial OTUs (operational taxonomic units – something that is used in many ways like ‘species’) from metagenomic sequence data. It was developed as part of the iSEEM project primarily by Tom Sharpton who worked jointly in my lab and in the lab of Katie Pollard at UCSF.
