Apparently, my own local paper hates my blog

I mean, I knew evolution was controversial and that I can be a bit snarky at times.  But does my own local paper -the Davis Enterprise have to have a whole article about how they hate me and my blog?

Author: Jonathan Eisen

I am an evolutionary biologist and a Professor at U. C. Davis. (see my lab site here). My research focuses on the origin of novelty (how new processes and functions originate). To study this I focus on sequencing and analyzing genomes of organisms, especially microbes and using phylogenomic analysis

  1. Guess your tongue-in-cheeck crusade to get the movie renamed failed. That being said, even though I've seen more favorable reviews of it than this, I doubt that it will be much of a success beyond the arthouse crowd, so your fears of having the “Tree of Life” diluted as a phrase were unwarranted.

  2. I know of course about people who can get upset over things like that and about how local papers can sue bloggers over “falsifications” and “libel.”

What is now perplexing me is how the Blogger/OpenID/Wordpress keep altering my name from RKA to Microbes without an apparent reason 🙂 I hope Microbes don't sue me 🙂

  3. I got that part. I mean, otherwise you would have quite an impressive WC [with reading chair, etc. 😉 ]. Just thought we could boost it up one level. 🙂
